SAVE the Date!!!

So I know its not official YET! (Because I don't' have a ring on my finger) But I just can't keep it inside anymore.

I'M GETTING MARRIED!!!! 09-24-10

I'm so excited!!! I'm going to marry the man of my dreams.

Now I know its a bit away..... but I have a lot of things checked off of my "to do list." I'm just super excited and I had to start planning. Also planning so far in advance will save us money and stress on the big day. Plus I've noticed that all the fall stuff is going on sale right now so its a perfect time to buy. Dale and I keep joking about "I thought planning a wedding was suppose to be a lot harder then this!" Its so nice to have such a supporting fiance that is willing to go to the crazy Bridal extravaganza and help pick out Bride's Maid dresses. Oh I LOVE that man!

Here are some of the things that I was able to check of my wedding "to do list."

Plus you'll have the inside scoop of what going on in the wedding before anyone else.

-Wedding dress (check) I thought I would have to try on a MILLION dresses before I found THE ONE... turns out it took about five dresses. The dress is totally me. I can't wait to show it off and if you come over to my house I might give you a sneak peek. It still needs some alterations but it seriously is the perfect dress for me and when you see me in it you'll know why.

-Temple dress (check) Now the temple dress was a little bit more tricky then I thought it would be. I wasn't planning on Dale choosing my temple dress, but we were Christmas shopping and took a quick peek at what they had. Dale BEGGED me to just try a few on. Which if you could see Dale's puppy dog eyes you would give in too. So I tried on a few No's but then came out in the dress that Dale chose for me and knew by the look on his face that it was the one. He started to cry a little bit. My mom thought the same thing when i tried on the dress for her on my birthday.

-Place (check) We are going to get sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. We are getting sealed in the morning. I think I have to be there at 9:20 am. So I get to sleep in a little bit.

-Reception Center (check) Our Reception is at......WHEELER FARM! Its honestly the perfect price and location for us. Dale and I are both very country at heart and we know that it will fit us and our family very nicely on our wedding day.

-Photographer (Check) So my very FAVORITE Camille is taking our photo's. She is amazing and I love her work. http://camillegarrison.blogspot.com/ Check it out! She makes a rainy day look good!!

-Band (check) My very talented Uncle will be preforming with his band at my wedding. I'm really excited. His style of music and his expertize goes perfectly for what we were looking for. So get ready to boogie when you come to our wedding!!

Things I really need help with is:

-FOOD!! Does anyone know what to do? I don't want to do a candy bar or ice cream bar. I want people to feel like they ate something yummy, but not busting my check book either. IDEAS PLEASE!!!

-Florist. Does anyone know someone that won't cost an arm and a leg and that is reliable?
-Cake. My cake is very simple and I don't want to pay more then $300. Plus I'm kinda freaked that my cake will turn out like some of these cakes on http://cakewrecks.blogspot.com/
HELP!
-Lanterns- Does anyone know a sweet rental place or cheap place to buy some?

Hook a FRIEND up..... all you married people! lol jk

****Special thanks to Sarah, Sammy, Becky, Megan, and x for getting my butt in to gear and blogging again!!***

Happy 24th Birthday SARAH!!

Today is my BEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD Sarah's birthday. She turns the BIG 24!! I just wanted to do a quick post about how wonderful this women actually is. She is one of the most determined, beautiful, smart, talented, selfless women I know.
She is always doing some sort of service, project, organization, rearranging the furniture or cleaning. I don't know how she gets so much stuff packed in one day. She is very inspiring. She has always been such an example to me about being better and doing better. She is very uplifting and you can always count on her. She is very in tune with the spirit and has always been there when I needed her the most.
Sometimes we joke about "how are we friends??" because we are so different. But I'm so thankful that Sarah approached me that one 8th grade day and invited me to sit with her friends for lunch. That day changed my life.
I would like to just reminisce about some of the fun adventures Sarah and I have had in the past 11 years that we have know each.
-One time I fell asleep over at Sarah's house watching "barbie Rapunzel". It felt like I just blinked... the next thing I hear is Josh Groben BLASTING from her stereo and waking wide awake.
-The many times I begged Sarah to make Chocolate Chip Cookies.
-The 9th grade dance where you STOLE the last dance with Matthew Shepard. I have a picture as evidence!
-How we dressed up for the Renaissance 9th year.
-How you made crapes.
-All of our single adults activies!
-German bread!!!
-Going to the Capital.
-Going to those crazy plays with you up at Utah State.
-Traveling with you to Guatemala!! Remember the bathroom bubble bath incident? lol OH MAN!
-Our countless adventures with FCCLA! (You as the lion and I'm the witch, sleep overs, Mrs. Harrison)
-How you can pretty much talk me into doing anything with you (dates, movies, crazy hiking trips, single actives)
-Buying wigs in October and going Latin dancing!!
-How I know you so well.... You humming MMMMMM lol
-How I got to help my best friend create her dream wedding.
I love you so much Sarah!! You are my best friend. We have been together during the high times and the low times. We have been together through thick and thin. Some of my fondest memories are with you. I'm so excited for the future that is in store for us. Our lives are going to drastically change soon. I'm so excited for it and a little scared. But I know since I have you as my best friend there is only new adventures to come!
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!

Bryan Adams Concert

I won Bryan Adam's Concert tickets on 94.1 KODJ. Its the oldies station if you didn't know. I had to send them an email to the radio station to call me and have a chance to win 10,000 bones. Sadly I didn't win the $10,000 but I was thrilled that I got AWESOME tickets to see Bryan Adams. For those of you that don't know who this skinny Canada man is... you are totally missing out. He sings the BEST 80's love songs!!
Here are the tickets that I won!

I HAD to bring Dale! This was Dales first concert. Cant you tell from the expression on his face how excited he is for the concert to start.

This is my all time favorite picture of Dale! He is such a stud! I love him so much. I must say we do look like a cute couple in this picture!

Now if you look closely there is a lady behind Dales head. You can kinda see her. Well there is kinda a funny story about this lady. The concert didn't start tell 8pm and Dale and I were early. We were in our seat about 7:30 pm and we were just being ourselves. Playing games with our treats that we bought, kissing each other, playing shove the cake in your face game at your wedding. Just fun and funny games we play together. That only Dale and I would find funny. We weren't be overly loud or playful. Just being ourselves. The concert hasn't even started yet. Now this older lady behind us had the NERVE to tap us on the shoulder and say.... I quote "You guys aren't going to be this bouncy during the concert, because you guys will drive me nuts!" I rolled my eyes at her and I said ITS A CONCERT! That shut her up.... but for the rest of the Concert I made sure that we sang as LOUD as we could and showed her what BOUNCY really looks like.
Please PLEASE my friends when you become older never become one of those grouchy old people who only wants to sit and listen politely to a concert. If you want that go to the conference concert. Not a rock en roll concert. Just a word of advice.
Dale and I had a great time and I have a new found respect/love for Bryan Adams. He is SO TALENTED and personable to the audience. Truly one of my favorite concerts I've gone too. Also the song "heaven" he sings is inspired by a movie about a male stripper. lol Just so you know! lol You tube the song!!

Dale Garner Carrington Jr

Well just a quick update for those of you that don't know. I met an AMAZING guy named Dale. This is the story about how we met.

Dale is a waiter at Chile's. Chile's is one of my favorite places to go and have the delicious "volcano cake". One of the guys I was dating at the time knew that and invited me to go to dinner with him on a Thursday to eat at Chile's. I didn't have plans and decided to go. We arrived at Chile's and were seated at a table on the far left side. Here is the infamous table.

I sat on the far right. Now instantly when Dale came out I thought to my self. Who is that guy?!! I know him from some where. He came to our table and asked what we would like to drink. That is when I said you look so familiar. I asked him if we went to High School together. He asked where did I go, I said Copper Hills. He went to Kean's. I told him he looked SO FAMILIAR. He agreed and left our table. I was COMPLETELY bothered that I couldn't figure out who this guy was. I was determined to find out how I knew him! EVERY TIME he came to our table I would ask him questions about where he worked before and where he lived. I'm surprised he didn't think I was a creep. My poor date. I couldn't focus on our conversation. All I could do was think up ways that I knew him. Plus the fact that I thought he was SUPER ATTRACTIVE didn't help the fact. So sadly our meal came to an end and our check came. My date wanted to pay. I felt bad for the way I acted the whole night. Talking about our waiter the whole time and the fact that I got a full meal and he only got a cup of soup. I offered to pay and was quite forceful. He reluctantly let me pay. When Dale came back with the receipt I made sure to leave him a BIG tip and with a shacking hand I left my phone number. This is what I put...... I know you!!! Call me some time- After I wrote my number I hurried and folded the tip so my date couldn't see what I wrote and GOT THE HECK OUT OF THERE! I was so nervous. I was nervous that my dated knew what I had just done and I didn't want to hurt him. Plus I DID NOT want to be there when the waiter came around to pick up his book. I was scared of rejection and what he would say. But he was all I could think about the next couple of days. I couldn't figure out how we knew each other. That night I told my mom what I had done, then waited. No response that night.
-Friday- No Call.
-Saturday-HE CALLED!!!! He called around 5 and I didn't answer. I was in the shower! He left me the cutes message. I was so thrilled that I ran upstairs to my mom and made her listen to the voice message. I was jumping up and down and smiling. FREAKING OUT!! Even called KC to ask for "Guy advice". (Kc's advice, Just be yourself. I said I will scare him if I just be myself. He said your right, just be fun then!) Well when I finally calmed down an hour later. I called him back. We talked on the phone for a good hour. We had so much in common. But there was NO WAY that we had met before Thursday. He asked me out for later that night to go to the Singles activity, JUMP and JACKS. Lets just say it was a really fun and he didn't go home tell around 3am. Since that day, I've seen him everyday since.
Dale and I have had so many crazy adventures together. I don't know how I've lived with out him in my life for so long. He is SO FUN! He makes my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so hard.
He is up for anything. So I put him to the test.......FACIALS! So much fun!!! I cried I was laughing so hard!!
Doesn't Dale look like the HULK!!!! I look like the wicked witch.
Dale even agrees.... I look scary!! lol
Then we went on an AMAZING date. Well all of our dates are fun. But this date was just SPECTACULAR. Everything was just perfect. We played at the Clark Planetarium and had sushi. Had an AMAZING Carmel Oreo apple. I don't even like oreos and it was amazing. Played video games. It was just a great night.
Dale walking on the moon.
Dale lost in Mars.
I love this picture!!!!
We found a a sun glass keosh. I look special!
OH BABY!
STOP ITS THE POLICE!
I love Dales face in this one!
Gangster!
That next morning, I was surprised to find flowers and teddy bear with a new watch from Dale. Thanking me for an amazing night. (How did I get so lucky?!!!)
Then for the Labor Day weekend. I invited Dale to come with me to Idaho and go to the fair with my family and extended Family. My family LOVES Dale.
We played a car game where we race against each other. Dale kicked everyone trash. I was so proud to call him my boyfriend lol.
-Not pictured. Dale and I both went on a mechanical bull. CLASSIC!
Dale got a man purse made out of fur. I wish I would have bought these furry earmuffs!!
Dale got attacked by a fake bear. This is him SCREAMING.
This is Dale petting and caressing the bear.
Now Dale is crying.
We found rings at the fair for each other.
Dale got crawdads. They are pretty good.
Guess what kinda meat this is..... taste like chicken.
Us tired after a long day at the Fair and VERY little sleep.
Dale is incredible and I'm so glad I met him. I know we will have amazing adventures in the future together and I can't wait. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!

Its been awhile.....

Well friends I would just like to convey how deeply sorry I am for not blogging for FOUR MONTHS. I've been super busy. In that time frame I visited Florida, Idaho, loved and lost, became a full time student for fall, stopped drinking pop for 13 weeks (record) and the list could go on......

I wish I could tell you that I am blissfully happy. Sadly I'm not. BUT I am living my life to the fullest. Things happen for a reason and they can only make me stronger. I just want to thank all of my friends and family!! You have been so good to me and I am truly blessed.

Here are some pictures of the things I've been up too.

I went to a Blake Shelton and George Straight concert with Tiffany. It was SUPER fun! We had THE BEST grass seats available.

Sorry I don't know how to flip this picture! But my dad can be HILARIOUS some times. He decided in honor of the July 24th that he would mow the grass and hold the flag at the same time. I see where I get my talent from! lolI went to my dear friend Matt's wedding on August 8th and yes I caught the bouquet! I'm very happy about that. It was a beautiful bouquet and its about time I won it lolI went out with my mom and had a girls day. We got a much need pedicure and I was able to catch up on my gossip magazines. It was really fun just spending alone time with my mom. She is such an amazing women and I'm so lucky she is my mom!Woke up with pink eye! Oh MAN did it hurt. I'm doing a lot better.I got to wear an eye patch. Can you tell which eye is real and which one is a patch? lol Funny story I went to Idaho to surprise my sister for her 20th birthday. We decided to go to a zoo. They were doing face painting. I asked the lady to paint my eye patch. She was a little flustered but I think it came out great! This is my cute cousin Seth. I love him to pieces and he is SO SMART!

I'm kicking myself that I can't find the picture. But KC and X invited me to go see a comedy show down town. It was really fun and I'm so glad that I got to spend time with one of my closes buddies. It was SO FUN!! I recommend going and if you are going PLEASE invite me!

Well that's whats going on in my neck of the woods.... tell next time.

Earth Day.....reduce,reuse,recycle....READY

HAPPY EARTH DAY EVERYONE!!!

I wanted to make Earth day special, so I got work off! lol What better way to celebrate Earth day right? Sarah invited me to do a 5k for her work and there was no way I could pass up an opportunity like that! I've always wanted to do 5k and tri athlons but I've never had the guts to do it by myself. So I did it and I thought it would be another great way to celebrate Earth day. So here are of few pictures we took after we finished the race. It was really fun. My butt hurts today. But it was so worth it. I finished in a time of 46.30. Now I have a time to improve on.
We are so BUFF!!! Finishing a 5k was a piece of cake!

Look at our faces...... we were just a little pink.

I love this picture because it looks like Jeff is totally going to puke!!

I also saw the Earth movie yesterday as well. It was a very well documented movie about the circle of life. (I wouldn't recommend taking little children to it because there was a lot of death.) I get a tree planted in my honor for going to the Earth movie. :)
